CYCH was begun with 30 beds by Dr.
Marcy Ditmanson in 1962 and grew up to be the modernized hospital with various
medical professionals and near 1000 beds.
Due to the deficiency of medical resources in 1960, Dr. Marcy Ditmanson
came to Chia-Yi setting up Chia-Yi Christian Hospital as the medical care
resources center. Recently Chia-Yi has enough medical resources because several
large hospitals setup and operate. What we search for are better quality of
medical services and holistic care. We not only introduce renovation of the
medical equipments, but also emphasize on the holistic care--- not only care of
the patients’ disease but also their spiritual and emotional care. Physically,
the hospital provides a comfortable and harmonic home-like environment; the
employees are requested to care of their patients as their families, and it
furthers patients’ physical pain; we hope their spirit would be saved.
CYCH goes forward continuously for the past forty years, with continuous
efforts made by Dr. Marcy Ditmanson, superintendents and all employee in this
hospital. We wish to carry on the effort by expressing Jesus’ love inherited by
Dr. Marcy Ditmanson.
