The
Medical Education Department was set-up in 1996 to
promote the related activities of medical education
and research. There are 13 departments of which
include medical, surgery, obstetrics &
gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, family
medicine, and is qualified as a teaching hospital
for physicians training in the related special
field. All employees and the medical related staff
will have special education and training programs
according to needs in our services. Its
responsibilities include the training of interns
from medical school and resident doctors in the
hospital. Also, it trains students from all over the
country in various departments, including pharmacy,
medical technology, nursing, nutrition, social work, and hospital management.
The
Medical Education Committee has enough budget for
clinical and basic study, and the annual purchasing
of books and journals for the medical library. We
have an animal experiment group,
epidemiology lab, and molecular biology lab
for our clinical and basic research, short-term
studying and research abroad is encouraged to all
our staff to get their higher degree and result of
research.
Every
medical department has its teaching program. Related
activities include morning meetings,
seminars, chart rounds, reports, bed-side clinical
teachings. And cooperation with others medical
centers to invite medical scholars for seminars and
teaching is also arranged.
CYCH
is responsible for the promotion of continuing
education to all medical personals and related
colleagues in Chai-Yi by holding different in-depth
teaching-seminars to improve the quality of patient
care with the cooperation of other hospitals.
We
introduce all related educational training programs
such as quality management, service etiquette,
computer systems, financial, fire-fighting,
character education, to our colleagues. In order to
enhance the quality of the employee, since 2000 we
have pushed forward a good-character education and
the learning-style organization; it is expected that
we will be the hospital with the best quality of
service.
